Home Information Pack

Sellers' packs, also known as Home Information Packs, are being launched in the UK from 1st August 2007. The packs will be available through Smart Property Solutions and include information useful to a potential buyer.

What information is included?

• Home contents form – what's included with the house
• Home use form – is the property used for business purposes?
• Sale statement – a summary of the terms for sale
• Local Authority Search – a search of local authorities and other agencies, e.g. transport and water, to identify any plans for development
• Drainage and water search – the location and state of any pipes
• Energy performance certificate – is the property energy efficient?
• Title info and file plan – is the title registered or unregistered land, freehold or leasehold and a summary of the property boundaries.
